The people here

Four People, No Sales Floor

Everyone in this building does something measurable. Nobody's job title contains the word consultant, and nobody earns anything that varies with what leaves the shop.

Roland Kaminski

Owner · Lead Fitter

Eleven years behind a retail counter in the North Hills before opening the studio out of a garage off Evergreen Road in 2015. Roz does most of the driver and iron sittings and is the person who will tell you, with some enthusiasm, that your problem is a lie angle rather than a nine-hundred-dollar head.

He is the reason the studio measures baselines before it changes anything, and he is also the reason there is masking tape on the wall with four words on it. Plays to a four at a public course in the Allegheny valley and is more proud of that than of any of his certifications.

Deirdre Falk

Fitter · Short Game And Putting

Came to fitting sideways, through eight years as an assistant professional at a club in Westmoreland County where she ran the short-game programme. She takes most of the wedge and putter sittings and has an unusual talent for spotting when a complaint about equipment is really a complaint about setup.

Deirdre built the studio's soft-and-firm turf panel testing after one too many golfers reported that clubs fitted in May had turned on them by August. If you play a lot of golf on baked western Pennsylvania clay, she is the person you want.

Tyrell Okonkwo

Build Technician

Trained as a machinist before he ever touched a golf club, which shows in everything that comes off his bench. Ty builds every set that leaves the studio and does all the shaft pulls, spine work, and swingweight matching. He is the reason a set built here has a frequency plot in the file rather than a shrug.

He also runs the Wednesday build day, which is why the floor is closed to sittings that day. If a club comes back not right, it goes to Ty and it is usually sorted the same afternoon.

Nadia Prokop

Studio Manager

Runs the calendar, the component orders, and the season files. If you get a note in March asking whether your wedges are about to be wrong for the spring, that came from Nadia going through the cards one by one. She is also the person who will tell you honestly how far out the diary is, which in April is further than anyone wants to hear.

Not a fitter and does not pretend to be. She will, however, know exactly what was built for you in 2021 and what shaft went in it.

Who You Get, And Why

Bookings are allocated by what the sitting needs rather than by who is free. Driver and iron work goes to Roz by default; wedges and putters go to Deirdre. Either of them can and does cover the other's categories when the diary demands it, and both will hand a sitting over mid-session if it turns out to belong to the other person's strength.

If you have been fitted here before, we put you back with whoever holds your file unless you ask otherwise. Continuity is worth a lot when the whole method depends on comparing this year's numbers to last year's.
